Has the Inquisition Ended?

On February 29, 2008, Barbie Nadeau of Newsweek (click) tells us about the new effort of the Roman Catholic Church to help us forget the past events of the Inquisition. The purpose of the Inquisition was to increase the power of the Vatican. Heretics were identified, tortured, and burned at the stake. Also, books were banned. Currently, the Vatican is displaying things to show that the Inquisition represented turmoil in the church.

But, this exhibition is not the first show. In 2004, the Vatican published an 800-page report saying that only 1.8 percent were executed. Pope John Paul II referred to the 700-year effort against heresy as a "tormented phase" and the "greatest error in the church's history." The show will last only weeks.

Based on the recent character assassination of me by Patty Mortimer and Donald Miller, and past character assassinations of me by others, is a book burning effort still continuing on the Internet by the Roman Catholic Church and other power-seeking organizations?
