NASA's Moon Shot on October 9, 2009 Raises Questions to the Materialists and Atheists
Yesterday, NASA sent an exploding physical object to the moon to determine whether the moon has water. When this object hit the moon and exploded there was no sign of a plane of dust or pulverized water ice. The mmaterialists and atheists must explain this unexpected result and how this result agrees with the billiard ball theory of Isaac Newton, the big bang theory, and Darwin's evolutionary theory.
As a believer in the existence of God, I say that the moon functions as an infrastructure of our solar system and protects all life on planet earth against free force asteroids and their physical material . Accordingly, I say that the moon is part of God's Intelligent Design of the universe.

I saw a special on tv that stated the moon keeps the earth stable and without the moon being exactly where it is located the earth would not be stable and no life could survive on the planet earth.
I am not sure there is intelligent design as I doubt that God does design work but I have no better word or concept at this time than design.
maybe it is that God manifests and the act of creation is perfect and the principles are perfect with no design needed.
the universe is intelligent but looks like chaos to us with our limited awarenss.
ie the universe is perfectly imperfect. :-)
just some random thoughts.

Thanks for this information.
I m a panentheist. This means that all things in the universe come from God. If you study the negative theology of Nicholas of Cusa, you will also become a panentheist.
As a panentheist, God must contract his infinity to act. So all thing in the universe are finite. So, to a panentheist, the universe is a desifn of God. Since God never changes, the universe is caused by the acts of God.

"The moon stabilizes the rotation rate and rotation axis of Earth. Without it, we would have far stronger climate changes and already a much longer day.
Also, the tides it causes in our oceans are pretty important for life, as these tidal regions are very important habitats.
But that all is no function of the moon... the moon just exists and all good things we get from it is just a small side effect."

Infinite must express itself in a finite form.
Infinite cannot create infinite that would be duplication and Oneness cannot duplicate itself.
Few in the world understand the reality of infinite.
We are living examples of this created finite form.
We as souls are the finite expressions of infinite.
We are not an illusion as many sages teach we are an expression of Infinite. To call an soul an illusion would be to call God an illusion. The soul is not the illusion but the perception of other might be called an illusion.
Also there is no such thing as emptiness as the Buddhists teach.
They confuse pure awareness with emptiness. When the consciousness becomes empty of thoughts then that is pure awareness, which is not nothingness or emptiness but everything. All and All, Absolute, Isness, Infinite, etc.
How does God create living forms that feel and act separate from God?
An involution of awareness process and evolution of consciousness process from a spark of consciousness to infinite awareness. This evolution of consciousness process creates souls innocent of their essence, which is infinite reality or God.
This evolution of consciousness process is the evolution of the soul.
Awareness is not a function of consciousness but consciousness is the function of awareness. Most confuse observation or witnessing with awareness. Awareness cannot be perfectly defined as infinite cannot be perfectly defined. Both are beyond definition.
All observation and witnessing exist in the reality of the finite with limited awareness.
Infinite does not observe or witness but expresses itself in living forms. We as souls are the expressions of God. The essence of God is spirit and we all have that essence of God within us. We awaken to awareness and we experience consciousness as a flow of thoughts and as conscious Beings we can have a perception of other.
This perception of other allows God to interact within itself and express itself in an infinite number of expressions.

Your statements are excellent and will contribute to the developing thoughts about the new theology known as panentheism.
My book on "The First Scientific proof of God" uses the evening sky and the concept 'finite' to find the unchanging infinity of God. With then unchanging infinity of God, the variable infinities of finite things make sense.
Unfortunately, our logicians and materialists reject God God only because they only accept excluded middle opposites. The pair of opposites, permanence/change, is found in the connection of God to all finite things. But this pair is also found in the universe. For instance, when a business develops, some procedures and things remain in the business whereas other procedures and things change. I call these coexisting opposites 'included middle opposites' in my book.
