However, the development of the USA as a 'nation of bandits' has a deeper origin --- the loss of the social contract of John Locke and the loss of Locke's 'Society-Government' relationship. This Society is defined in the first two paragraphs of the Declaration of Independence (DOI) and this Government is defined in the Constitution.
In a letter dated 11/12/10, I informed West Virginia's Senator John Rockefeller IV about these losses. On the same date, I posted his letter as a blog on this website.
In this letter, I am saying that all senators and representatives of the USA are unaware of the Lockean social contract and the functional relationship between 'the People of the USA,' as defined by the DOI, and the 'only Government,' as defined by the Constitution.
Since Republicans, Tea Party members, Democrats, President Obama, and Supreme Court justices are unaware of these deeper losses, the debate between Boehner and President Obama will not produce any progress.
When the Iraq War ended, Irak made a Constitution as suggested by U.S. leaders. This suggestion was wrong because 'Government' (the public sector) was defined, but 'the People of Iraq' (the private sector) was not defined. So, new democracies should beware of wrong suggestions..

Careful George you're letting your political ideology cloud your judgement. The debt and deficit have been a problem for decades and both parties are responsible. Obama wants to complain about what he inherited but I think at this point most Americans would love to go back to January of 2009, to a debt of 8 trillion, a debt of 6oo billion, gas less than 3.00 a gallon and unemployment under 6%
You're a Democratic Socialist George so you tend to side with liberal Democrats even though you say you're above politics and political parties. Just goes to show how your emotions can outrun your intellect and how your perfect vision is not likely to happen.

George, it's secession not succession. Can you really blame states for thinking this way, most of their financial troubles are due to unfunded mandates placed on them by the federal government

Response to David S. Wilkinson,
I am not a Democratic Socialist. Your ignorance of panentheism makes you ignorance also about an active God that has an Intelligent Design of the universe. What you hear from me is very new. We hare free.

Response to David S.Wilkinson,
When a person belives that his or her State has rights, this person rejects an active God and becomes an atheist or a deist. Both an atheist and a deist reject the life after death.

Does the 10th amendment ring a bell George. In the Constitution, which you frequently state sets the country as a Godly nation grants the states rights not granted to the federal government.
Having a different view of God from you does not make that person an atheist or a deist. As the world shows us an infinite active God can have infinite active ways of being followed and worshipped. Speaking for God is considered one of the worst forms of blasphemy as is denying His son.

Response to David S. Wilkinson,
All natural rights come from God and go to the people. Then , the people give some of these rights to the government so that the government secures the people. Thus, no rights that have gone to the government cannot be given to the State.
Accordingly, no rights of the people can be given to the State.
Thus, State rights do not exist.
If a person does not accept naturl rights from God, that person is an atheist or a deist.
This is the way I think.

Again George just because it doesn't match your theory does not mean they aren't there. Did you pay state taxes this year? Did you ever have a driver's license? Did you attend public school? If you did any of those you proved states do have rights.

Response to David S. Wilkinson,
State rights wbegan to develop when Jackson became President and John C. Calnone became Vice President and was accepting slavery. Earlier, the States known as 'territories.'
Natural rights come from God only to humans.

I didn't say states had Natural rights. I agree only individuals can have rights directly from God.
But states have the right to do things like I mentioned above. How natural these rights are is constantly being debated and interpreted by the courts.
