Stephen Hawking Says: God Did Not Create the Universe. I Disagree.
As the author of the book "The First Scientific Proof of God." I teach this scientific proof with ontology, which is the study of 'beings' or 'things.' I teach the following statement about things: "When a person looks into the evening sky, many different finite things are seen." Then, when we seek the cause of these many different finite things, we must say that all finite things must come from an opposed infinite thing. We can thus say that all of these finite things were not caused by a finite Big Bang thing because a finite Big Bang thing would have to create itself and all other finite things. So, only an infinite thing can be the cause of all finite things, which we name 'universe. ' Since an infinite thing has no cause, the infinite thing is named 'God.' God is thus necessary.
Hawking and other mathematicians overstate the purpose of mathematics. Mathematics can be applied only to the dynamics of finite things. Thus, mathematics cannot be applied to an absolute thing or a greatest thing because both identify the same God different ways.
If Galileo's work on bodies is studied, one will learn that all finite things have an infinite number of indivisible parts. One of these indivisibles is the basic principle. All other indivisible parts function for this basic principle. Since an infinite number of parts cannot be counted, mathematicians have problems in explaining the finite things in the universe.
Hawking and other mathematicians do not seem to understand that God and the universe is one world that has a higher world (of God) and a lower world (of Creatures) and that these two different worlds function in beautiful ways.

Dear George
I agree with you.
Radhasoami Faith View of Modus Operandi of Creation of Universe
Stephen Hawking writes in The Grand Design, “It is not necessary to invoke God to light the blue touch paper and set the Universe going.” Hawking said the Big Bang was merely the consequence of the law of gravity. In A Brief History of Time, Hawking had suggested that the idea of God or a divine being was not necessarily incompatible with a scientific understanding of the Universe.
Although Hawking is very close to Truth yet he is not perfect in his views while discarding the role of divine being. I consider the role of eternal gravity uppermost but I strongly differ with Hawking on the role of divine being. I consider Divine Ordainment is the cause of Creation of Universe.
Now I give Radhasoami Faith view of Creation Theory. In Sar Bachan (Poetry) composed by His Holiness Soamiji Maharaj the August Founder of Radhasoami Faith the details of creation and dissolution has been described very scientifically. It is written in Jeth Mahina (name of Hindi moth) in this Holy Book: Only He Himself (Supreme Father)and none else was there. There issued forth a great current of spirituality, love and grace (In scientific terminology we may call this current as gravitational wave). This is called His Mauj (Divine Ordainment). This was the first manifestation of Supreme Being. This Divine Ordainment brought into being three regions, viz., Agam, Alakh, and Satnam of eternal bliss. Then a current emerged with a powerful sound. It brought forth the creation of seven Surats or currents of various shades and colours (in scientific terminology we may call it electromagnetic waves). Here the true Jaman or coagulant was given (in scientific terminology this coagulant may be called as weak nuclear force and strong nuclear force). Surats, among themselves, brought the creation into being.
These currents descended down further and brought the whole universe/multi verse into being i.e. black holes, galaxies etc. were born.
I would like to add further that sound energy and gravitational force current are non polar entity and electromagnetic force is bi-polar. Hence spiritual polarization, if occurred, is occurred in the region of Sat Lok and region below to it only.

Response to Anirudh Kumar Satsangi,
Since you consider Divine Ordainment as the cause of Creation of Universe, we are in full agreement.
In my creation theory,I reject mateaialism and the Big Bang theory and replace them with the Intelluigent Design of God.
This Design means thar atheim and deism are false. You might weat to take a look at my blogs that unify God and the Creation (oe universe). In my blogs, a single eternal world is rational. A rational single world tells us that an infinite world of God and a finite world of Creatures COEXIST.
Clearly, we are on a similar path of thought.

In "The Grand Design" Hawking says that we are somewhat like goldfish in a curved fishbowl. Our perceptions are limited and warped by the kind of lenses we see through, “the interpretive structure of our human brains.” Albert Einstein rejected this subjective approach, common to much of quantum mechanics, but did admit that our view of reality is distorted.
Einstein’s Special Theory of Relativity has the surprising consequences that “the same event, when viewed from inertial systems in motion with respect to each other, will seem to occur at different times, bodies will measure out at different lengths, and clocks will run at different speeds.” Light does travel in a curve, due to the gravity of matter, thereby distorting views from each perspective in this Universe. Similarly, mystics’ experience in divine oneness, which might be considered the same "eternal" event, viewed from various historical, cultural and personal perspectives, have occurred with different frequencies, degrees of realization and durations. This might help to explain the diversity in the expressions or reports of that spiritual awareness. What is seen is the same; it is the "seeing" which differs.
In some sciences, all existence is described as matter or energy. In some of mysticism, only consciousness exists. Dark matter is 25%, and dark energy about 70%, of the critical density of this Universe. Divine essence, also not visible, emanates and sustains universal matter (mass/energy: visible/dark) and cosmic consciousness (f(x) raised to its greatest power). During suprarational consciousness, and beyond, mystics share in that essence to varying extents. [quoted from my e-book on comparative mysticism]

Response to Ron Krumpes,
Thanks for your thoughts.
When you get time for looking at new books, take a look at the work of Nicholas of Cusa and his first book "On Learned Ignorance." He finds that knowledge cannot be completed.
In Clyde Lee Miller's translation of Cusa's "Idiota De Mente", on page 21 we find that the conceptual world is an image of the human mind and the created world. So, I can agree with Hawking's curved fishbowl.
Why then do many physical scientists reject God and speak of a Big Bang theory, maximum entropy, etc.?
In my book, "The First Scientific Proof of God", I unify the concepts, infinite and finite. Thus, these two concepts coexist. These coexisting concepts connect an infinite God to all finite things in the universe.
Since this scientific proof, I have identified other opposing concepts that alo coexist. With these opposing concepts, I am forming a single world consisting of God (or higher world0 and a Universe (or lower world). This universe seems to be identical to the 'conseptual world' that Cusa wrote about in his "Idiota de Mente."

George,
I quote Nicholas of Cusa in my e-book:
“Because He is Himself the absolute Ground, in which all contrariety is unity, all diversity is identity, that which we understand as diversity cannot exist in God.”
We can learn a lot from the Desert Fathers and others are quoted and/or mentioned. The finite and the infinite, the immanent and the transcendent, and innumerable other seeming dualities do coexist.
In another quote, St. Gregory of Nyssa says:
“The distinction between persons does not impair the oneness of nature, nor does the shared unity of essence lead to a confusion between the distinctive characteristics of the persons. Do not be surprised that we should speak of the Godhead as being at the same time unified and differentiated: diversity-in- unity and unity-in-diversity.”
I look forward to reading your book.

I should have checked my dates before replying. Nicholas of Cusa was a 15th-century German philosopher, not a Desert Father. He was the only prominent mystic that I know of who was made a Cardinal.

Response to Ron Krumpos,
(Sorry that I misspelled your last name above.)
Cusa became a Bishop before he passed on.If you get into Cusa, Part Ii of my book will help. But feel free to use me because Cusa's thoughts are tough for Americans and the English language because Cusa is a Platonic dialectician.
Cusa's contraction metaphysics must be mastered because out of one God come many things. Opposing concepts, such as one-many, identity-difference, etc. coexist in a single world. God and Universe is one and many as you seem to say. We seem to be on the same path of thought.
Since I am adding to book often you might want to look at my 11/25/10 blog on 'The Expansion of George Shollenberger's Work.' This blog will show my development of a new 'theological science.'

Thank you Dear Shollenberger for your very kind words. I am posting one more comment which will supplement to my above comment.
The Universe includes everything that exists. In the Universe there are billions and billions of stars. These stars are distributed in the space in huge clusters. They are held together by gravitation and are known as galaxies. Sun is also a star. Various members of the solar system are bound to it by gravitation force. Gravitation force is the ultimate cause of birth and death of galaxy, star and planets etc. Gravitation can be considered as the cause of various forms of animate and inanimate existence. Human form is superior to all other forms. Withdrawal of gravitational wave from some plane of action is called the death of that form. It can be assumed that gravitation force is ultimate creator. Source of it is ‘God’. Gravitational Field is the supreme soul (consciousness) and its innumerable points of action may be called as individual soul or surat (consciousness). It acts through body and mind. Body is physical entity. Mind can be defined as the function of autonomic nervous system. Electromagnetic waves are its agents through which it works. This can be realized through the practice of meditation and yoga under qualified meditation instruction. This can remove misunderstanding between science and religion and amongst various religions. This is the gist of all religious teachings – past, present and future.

Dear George
Congrats for your current work to unify God and the Universe Scientifically. Best wishes and good luck.
Gravitation force is the Creator, Sustainer and Annihilator of the Universe.
I prefer Newtonian Gravitation Force over Einstein's Gravity.

Neither Einstein's warped space and time nor Newton't Euclidan space and time are no longer of interest to me.
My interest is currently in Leibniz's space and time of indivisible and immortal spirits, the maniolds of Riemanns, and the least action principle.

Modus Operandi of Radhasoami Faith View of Creation – Part II
Here the true Jaman (coagulant) was given. The spirituality coagulated as it were, and Surats (spirit entities), among themselves, brought the creation into being. Thereafter, another Jaman (coagulant) was given. Regions from Agam Lok (Inaccessible Region) to Sat Lok (True Region) were created during the first creational process. That creation is true. That region is eternal. There is no trace of evil and suffering. This was the creation for many Yugas and ages. Then there appeared a dark coloured current
That current appeared like a dark coloured stone set in a white one and was absorbed in the Darshan of True Being. Then there appeared two Kalas i.e. currents (viz. Niranjan and Jyoti) and they together evolved the creation of five Tattwas (elements) four Khans (species, categories of life) and three Gunas (qualities). The three Gunas (qualities) brought about the expansion and proliferation . They created Rishis and Munis (sages and holy men), gods and godly human beings and demons. Egotism then increased much. Niranjan separated himself from the rest, putting the burden of looking after the creation on them. Nobody could know of Niranjan. Even the Vedas referred to Him as Neti Neti (Not this, Not this). They did not get Darshan (Vision) of Niranjan. They made conjectures. Then how can anybody have knowledge of Sat Purush (True Being), Source of Niranjan and all that exists.
Scientifically here Jyoti represent three Fundamental Forces of Quantum Mechanics i.e. electromagnetic force, weak nuclear force and strong nuclear force. NIRANJAN is the fourth Fundamental Force i.e. Gravitation Force.
