Voting in a Democracy Under an Active God

Voting in a democracy can stop the development of the Spirits of a nation under an active God. For instance, in the USA democracy, two Mormons, Mitt Romney and Jon Huntsman, are running for President in 2012. What problems do Mormons present to a democracy? To  answer this question, I went to a website on Mormonism. (click)  The subject of this website is  'God's Infinity: A Christian-Mormon Comparison.'

In the Christian Perspective, we find that the word infinite, in the English language, means “not enclosed within boundaries, boundless, unlimited…without end, endless, infinite...without bounds, without end, infinitely.” Thus, infinite is not measurable with finite terms and is beyond time and space Thus, there is no possible way or means to fully describe an infinite God.
In the Mormon Perspective we find that Joseph Smith, was the founder of Mormonism.  Smith says that a line of gods and goddesses preceded into infinity and that Jesus Christ became one of them.

My study of God says that only one God exists; that God is active, and that God cannot be known with our finite words. But my study also says that God is active in our eternal lives and that we can gain good understandings of God and the reasons for His acts.  I reject the idea that Jesus Christ became God or became the Son of God. But I conclude the Jesus Christ gives us some of the best thoughts ever about God and the creation.

But using someone's religious affiliation against them in a political campaign is tedious and trite. Both sides do it and shouldn't. The focus has to be on the issues and whether the person can address the issues facing the American people.
This tactic has been used so often that it is losing it's effectiveness. Let's not forget that there were those that said JFK could not be an effective president since he was a Catholic.
My main concern is how close what the person has said comes to what they have done. Politicians are a dime a dozen but true statesmen are hard to come by.

    Response to David S. Wilkinson,

Informing the voters of facts are important.

    God is an issue.

Facts yes not supposition or inuendo based on stereotypes of particular religions. I wonder where all of these separation of church and state people are when someone tries to use religion to affect an election.

    Response to David S. Wilkinson,

The USA is a nation under God.

This fact is found in the first two pagraphs of the Declaration of Independence. This fact is also found in the first two opening statements of the Preamble of the Constitution--- We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union,... Only an infinite God is perfect.

Research on the theory of God will slowly identify the one and only religion. So the People of the USA and its governmnet will never be required to establish a religion.

Senator Rockefeller is not responding to my letter that says, 'the USA is a nation under God.' His dumbness and the U.S. Congress do not understand the difference between the 'theory of God' and the 'practices of religions.'

The founders knew this would never be a perfect country that is why the wording is such, you cannot have a more perfect anything. They are admitting that the founding was an experiment and all we can do is be the best we can and that change is inevitable, thus the amendment process to the Constitution.
