The Meanings of Socialism and Capitalism Are Changing
Shields says, " The anger rises. The fury rages at a new economic order that rules our lives. American capitalism has now been redefined to mean the freedom of the rich to reap enormous rewards if the risks they take do work out and --- more importantly --- if these risks do not work out, for everybody else to bail out the rich." So the meanings of socialism and capitalism are being redefined only in favor for the rich.
Kenneth Burke challenged the Hoover administration on the accurate meanings of economic symbols ,after the depression began in 1929. Since President Hoover was a mechanical engineer and believed that the nature of humans are like the nature of machines, Hoover thought that the U..S. economy obeys laws and would make a self-recovery. Hoover and his economists were wrong. Unfortunately, many U.S. economists, and universities, and colleges still teach that the U.S. economy can be controlled by economic factors such as inflation, real unemployment rates , cycles, etc. These factors do not function as necessary factors in a godly economic whole and thus do not represent economic truths.
When will the are people of the world recognize that only a few rich and powerful people are needed to control nations, even free ones.
