Ther Ancient Prophets Are Today's Scientists and Moralists
The imprisonment of Galileo and the burnings of Bruno and others at the stake as heretics by the Roman church was thus inconsistent with the natural development of sciences and morals by man. These burnings were murders. Further, since Jesus Christ was a prophet and thus a normal human being, his death on the Cross must also be viewed as murder. I wonder how many wars today are really murders caused by fundamental religions. Furthermore, the development of intellectual power over people by any leaders must always be seen as immoral acts.
