New Tax Proposals of the Democrats and Repoublians

The Democratic-led Senate wants to increase the tax rate (the Buffett Rule) for all $1 million-plus earners.  This Senate action would produce $47 billion for jobs.  Because of the Buffett Rule, the Republican--led House wants to decrease the tax rate of business. This House action would produce $46 billion for business that would come from the $1 million-plus earners.

The Buffett Rule would lower the wealth of the very rich class. But the Buffett Rule, which is presented by President Obama, is only the new step of producing the 'equality of man.' The equality of man is only one of many moral 'laws of Nature's God.'  These laws are required by the Declaration of Independence (DOI).  This DOI law about the 'equality of man' is identical to the phrase ---all Men are created equal. This phrase is found in the initial authority in the first two paragraphs of the DOI. is presented

The simultaneous action of the republicans reduce business taxes in order to to counter the Buffett Rule is an ungodly act. Taxing must be determined with real 'cause-effect' relations.  The games being played by congressional persons are ugly and ungodly.

I do agree the games politicians play make a mockery of our republic. Trotting out a tax that will fund the government for seventeen days and try to present it as a "major" accomplishment is laughable. Any revenue generated will then be spent on inefficient, ineffective government programs and regulations so saying it would lower the deficit is an out right lie. Then again that is what they do best.

    1. The rich will find ways of avoiding this tax so any revenue projections are wishful thinking.
    2. The money would not go for jobs, also wishful thinking
    3. No matter how equal you try to make things there will always be people that feel they are not getting what they deserve.
It's a political stunt being used by the Democrats as they use the class warfare card in this election. The same as they will use the race card, the woman card, the child card, the elderly card and all of the other nasty campaign tricks they are known for since they know they cannot run on this President's record.

    Dave,

If you believe that money must produce fecessities, there is no need for money in a nation. Reagan wanted to develop only rational stuff. he was on the right path.

If you God gives you life after death, saving money has no purpose because you might end up in a poor nation.. Hoarding is ungodly.

But who defines hoarding? One person's hoarding is anothers wise investment.Shouldn't a person be able to do what they want with their money? It appears that will be a central theme of this years election. You can vote to:
A- agree to hand over more of your money to the government
B- keep more of your money
I'm not a hoarder and far from being wealthy but I'm still going with option B

This says it far better than I can in regards to your Quixotic quest for equality
An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never fai...led a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama's socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.
The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama's plan". All grades will be averaged and everyone will receive the same grade so no one will fail and no one will receive an A.... (substituting grades for dollars - something closer to home and more readily understood by all).
After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little..
The second test average was a D! No one was happy. When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F. As the tests proceeded, the scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else. To their great surprise, ALL FAILED and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great, but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed. It could not be any simpler than that.
Remember, there IS a test coming up. The 2012 elections.

These are possibly the 5 best sentences you'll ever read and all applicable to this experiment:
    1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.
    2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
    3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
    4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!
    5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.

George, the basic principle is that men ARE CREATED equal but the outcomes will never be equal no matter how many rules, regulations or taxes are utilized to try to make it so.

    Dave,

In response to 6:38 AM comment, the statements of the professor are made without consideraion of God and the Intelligent Design of God. If the professor was godly, he would seek answers to God's Intelligent Design ans stop selling the ugly economy of our colleges and universities.

    In your 6:42 comment Dave.

The 'equality of man' is like other goals that God gave us. These goals exist because human life cannot be predicted. So the equality of man can be improved continually. To separate 90% of the poor people from the 10% rich class is ungodly.

    George

But they are not seperate George, they are all part of the economy and people in the 90% can move into the 10% and vice versa. Don't you think if God wanted us to be equal he would have. God could have made us all one color, all the same height, all with the same intelligence, etc... but He created us in his image so we can see how unfathomable He actually is.
I believe we can be more equal but true equality among all people is like perfection, it cannot be attained.

The professor wasn't selling an ugly economy he was demonstrating the failed principles of socialism. We don't know the professors religious views and given that it was an economics class it would not have been his place to bring that into the conversation. For all we know this professor may be well versed on Intelligent Design but chose to focus on economics.
