Remaking America by George Shollenberger, Idea XXV (Many Democrats and Republicans lack knowledge of a self-government)

Today, I read in the newspaper that a handful of republican governors is turning against the economic stimulus signed into law by President Obama. These governors are from Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alaska, and South Carolina. This thinking is opposed to a self-government. But President Obama’s economic stimulus is developing a self-government.

After listening the words of republicans against Obama, it is clear that republican can destroy our self-government. First, one must recognize our Union and its highest parts, which are self-government and ‘the people.’ Both the Democrats and Republicans don’t realize that free enterprises and free traders cannot guide the development a Union. They don’t seem to know that all States are only territories and thus have no rights. Only humans have rights that can be shared with a self-government. They don’t seem to know that a self-government must secure ‘the people’ in all rightful ways because ‘the people’ gave some rights to the national government. They must always be forming a more perfect Union according to the Constitution, but never seem to care about that law. They don’t seem to know that evolutionary theory is false and that this falsity must be removed from our high schools? Republicans seem to think that building another Hooverville will solve today’s depression. (click) Further, Alaska’s Sarah Palin doesn’t seem to know that a Born Again Christian can lead people only into Hell.

Today, most republicans want to limit our national government in general and limit the functions of a self-government. These limitations were clear in the messages of John McCain and Sarah Palin prior to the presidential voting. These limitations tell me that the republicans do not know that our national government is the first modern self-government, after such a government was sought by Jews, Athenians, and Alexander the Great.

Unfortunately, Democrats and Republicans believe that a free market economy can build our nation alone. However, this economy is currently distributing the nation’s wealth unusually. Today, only 10% of the U.S. households own two–thirds of our nation’s wealth whereas 90% of the U.S. households hold only one-third. This unusual distribution began to develop only after Abe Lincoln was assassinated. I conclude that a free nation cannot be built alone with a free market economy.

Since I do not believe that a free market economy can build our nation alone, I voted for President Obama. I conclude that he will build a self-government that can build our nation as well as a free market. Fortunately, the Democrats seem to want to learn about a self-government from President Obama. But Republicans do not seem to be interested in a self-government and the founding documents.

On what basis do you discount evolution on?

    response to Q_F:,

I am very patriotic and have lots of respect for the science, politics, and economics of our founders because they did respect the fields of thought at their time. They even sent Ben Franklin to Europe, long before 1776, to become updated on German and French thinking This thinking opposed the empirical science, politics, and economic science in Great Britain. This is why the American colonists made the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776 and became separated from England.

The Declaration identified a new nation and called it the USA. The Declaration authorized the USA to go to war against England. But too few Americans know that the Declaration has many other authorities. With these other authorities, the Declaration of Independence becomes the highest law in the body of U.S. laws. Our lawyers do not think this way.

But I believe that the lawyers are wrong. So, I assume that the Declaration is the highest law of the USA. Thus, I respect all words in the Declaration including the the words that say that the people of the USA are entitled to two laws. Ffounders identifies these two laws in the Declaration as the ‘Laws of Nature and Nature’s God.’

The ‘Laws of Nature’ identify the science of the USA and the Laws of Nature’s God identify the morality of the USA. Since Darwin’s evolutionary theory has no God and no morality, I must discount Darwin’s evolutionary theory from the USA.

Wow. But surely there is competition among minds and intelligences for resources though, just as there is in nature. A bear or tiger still has to eat meat to support a healthy body, right? Biologically, that bear wouldn't live if it just tried to get it's energy directly from the sun, it still needs to obtain that energy from some life form that is lower on the food chain, ie by photosynthesis and then some smaller herbivore animal eating that and then the bear eating that herbivore or omnivore, correct?

    response to Q_F,

When I use the words 'I believe' I mean that I am saying something that is cossistence with a monotheistic God.

So, I believe that competition is necessary only in the lower animals. In the human specie, competition is a choice of the people who live on a the same planet. On some other planets, I believe that people develop brotherly love and share natural resources equally. Sharing natural resources and making land free are necessity. We seem to learn about this necessity as our self knowledge grows. Recognizing these necessities are part of learning what is right, what is wrong, what is true, and what is false.

And I believe that God created the human species because God can’t appear in our world and because all animals require a leader and goals. So, he gave the human specie the highest possible form of intelligence.

Well, I'm all for people sharing the resources as well as living 'the good life' too. I want to see everybody having a personal computer and a fuel efficient vehicle, I certainly do not wish to see poverty as a condition within the human race anymore. I guess that the hard part is making it happen, not impossible, but still very tough road ahead till that point.

To maki it happen, I conclude that our symbol languages must be improved continually because I am sure that all evils come from flawed symbolic language. So, I am identifying the only way to make it happen.

I figure that proper education is the only solution. Improper education being that which is taught that is untrue and uncritiqued, whereas proper education is in that of critiquing and learning that which is supported by the evidence.

    response to Q_F,
Now, we are thinking the same way.

The first major improper education that must be fixed is the teaching of religions. Scriptures close the mind of people. If people are taught that all scriptures are man-made, rather than God-made, the power of all scriptures will be reduced to just another field of truth seeking and the scientific proof must be applied.

Excellent then. So what do you think regarding morality and immorality then?

In my own opinion, I view morality as something that evolution has brought about. I must assume that there is a general good agenda behind the masses though, especially when they have their own self interests as well as the mutual self interests of each other in mind. Since it is generally not in a societies best interest to die off, as per often carried out by evolution (nature can be very cruel indeed), the societies that survive are the ones that pass on their traditions and customs while the other ones tend to perish. As a result, there are different moral standards in different cultures, but there is this general overall moral zietgiest, it progesses especially fast in the animals of higher intelligence. Richard Dawkins terms this as The Shifting Moral Zietgiest

As to whether evolution is inconsistant with what you call "nature and nature's god" I differ from you but perhaps evolution is more of an intelligent design than you believe. The mind, I believe, has evolved among all species to prevent the demise of the individual and that of the ecosystem the individual depends upon. In my belief, the intelligence of the mind has arisen due to the the necessary evolution for the ability of members of the different species to make causal predictions based on their own previous individual experiences, and due to communication as well, the documented experiences of others. Science, of course, is a natural step above subjective communication in that it gives an objectified form of experimental evidence. Also that the advanced mind has an evolutionary necessity to understand mathematics (being an excercise in that of logic and thereby truth), and physics (being an objective extension of the senses ability to understand natural causality).

Ergo, the mind of a fly is very complex indeed, as it is flying around a room doing all manner aerial acrobatics prior to landing upside down on the cieling. Of course, the fly's mind doesn't need to understand how to build a plow or how to make a vehicle for taking a giant trek from one ecosystem to another, perhaps due to famine or drought. The fly requires much less energy than the human being because the fly weighs a lot less and can live off of secondary digested matter from other species of higher order and intelligence.

....gotta go ..... And, so I conclude that evolution has an overall purpose of innovation to make the newer models more complex, intelligent, and moral than the previous models that have died off in competition.

    response to Q_F,

If I change Dawkins zeitgeist to geistzeit, I generate a concept similar to spacetime, which I reject.

Dawkins's Darwinmian mind is closed and this is why he refuses to read my modern book, which proves God scientifically by unifying theology and science. You must get outside of the Dawkins box, which is closing your mind.

Evolutionary theory has no chance of being sold in the USA. See the Constitution. The Preamble says, 'in Order to form a more perfect Union,....' The only way to measure the performance of the national government is with a 'standard of perfection.' The only perfect thing is God.

To measure the performance of our national government, We must identify the morals that Godd gave us. Our morals are the rights that God gave us. These rights determine the moral standards of our nation. Moral standards do not change with time because God never changes.

Dawkins's mind is not well developed, as I noticed in his books. He is also a racist. Thoughts about white superiority over black should be dropped into the circle file.

Well, I largely disagree with everything you just said concerning Evolutionary Theory and Richard Dawkins. However, when it comes to business, perhaps Darwinism (not sure why it isn't called Adam Smithism though) isn't that good of a business model. Some aspects of it are necessary of course, like firing delinquent employees in order to make the business run smoother.

    response to Q_F,

Of course, your disagreements were expected. But even when it goes to businesses, only our symbolic languages will produce the best workers and businesses. Evolution can never do what improved symbolic languages will do. Again, another proof that evolution is false.

But Dawkins did not do his homework on the new and turbulent teachings of Jesus Christ. The ancient Christians misinterpreted Jesus by not including the Gospels of Thomas in the Bible. Uffortunately, modern Christian merely follow the ignorant ancient Christians.

    respond to Q_F,

    An interesting subject.

Since I do not accept atoms or vacuums in the universe and believe that God is creating the best world and cannot be exhausted, the expansion of all things in the universe do expand continually based on the principle that greatest success occurs for the least expenditure.
