166.The Little Gods Are Lost In Symbols And I Can Rescue Them
When Little Gods added symbols to the counting tokens for economic reasons, some Little Gods began to write and made scriptures. Writing was helped when Aristotle made his logic. Logic was used by Cicero in the Roman courts, which ruled the life of all Little Gods for centuries..
In the 15th century, a Little God, Nicholas of Cusa, found that visible things can only be images of an invisible God. (See On Learned Ignorance, Bk I, Ch 11) Cusa only used geometrical symbols to reveal divine truths. So, in the 15th century, logic was limited to machines. But it took three more centuries to build some intelligent Little Gods. They learned that human life must be defined by symbolic laws, which are functionally related to God. These Little Gods led to the U.S. Declaration of Independence (DOI) on July 4, 1776.
After the USA won the war against England, the life of all U.S. Little God was defined in the DOI. The Little Gods were based generally on freedom and equalities. But the equalities of the Little Gods changed to inequalities after President Lincoln was assassinated.
As the 20th century was coming, many linguistic Little Gods turned to the subject of symbols. The field of eetymology appeared and its Little Gods said that all symbols must have a meanings.(click) , (click) In the early years of the 20th century, the concept of 'symbolic interactionism' became the ideas of George H. Mead, Charles H. Cooley, W. I. Thomas, and other Little Gods of the University of Chicago.The central theme of this concept is that all Little Gods live in a domain of symbols. (click) In 1925, books by Ernst Cassirer on The Philosophy of Symbolic Forms appeared. (click) In 1942, a study on the symbolism of reason, rite and art by Susanne Langer appeared. click) In 1952, at the Thirteenth Symposium of the Conference of Science, Philosophy, and Religion, the attendees did know the difference between symbols and signs.
As seen, the truths of symbols are still unknown. They are unknown because many Little Gods are not considering God in their thoughts anymore. The U.S. Congress is an example.
