More Opinions on Sam Harris and Neurology

Sam Harris’s book on The End of Faith says that faith impedes the development of man’s reasoning skills and that religious differences, which often lead to wars, cannot coexist indefinitely. To sell this book, Harris publishes articles and debates with believers in God. Now, he is opening a website on The Reason Project. Advisors are personalities such as Richard Dawkins, Daniel Dennett, Rebecca Goldstein, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Steven Pinker, Ibn Warraq, and Steven Weinberg. These personalities advisors are scientists, evolutionists, atheists, and religious reformers.

Clearly, Harris’ research is physical. Thus, he seems to have no spiritual interests. If he has no spiritual intersts, he sees mind as a shadow of the brain. Thus, he does not view the mind as a metaphysical thing, a thing-in-itself, a soul, or a Spirit. His view of mind is thus based on logical thoughts. For instance, he uses the opposing concepts, assent and dissent and relates them tothe opposing concepts, certainty and uncertainty. The use of logic is a sign of the work of an atheistic scientist, who is unaware that God is hidden by logic. On the other hand, a godly scientist will use logic only to structure a created thing of qualities. Once structured, the contents of a created thing can be known only through its variable qualities that change by degrees. Leaping gaps with logical reasoning has always been an idea unique to the atheistic Marxists. Apparently, Marxism is expanding in the USA.

I also disagree with Harris on his beliefs about religious differences. Religious differences have caused religious progress because religious progress is evident. Only recently, do we find that religions are admitting their errors. The emergence of modern science was necessary in this process. With modern science, today’s religions are now learning many new truths about a monotheistic God.

Harris is unnecessarily rocking the ‘boat of religion,’ which will be getting stronger and stronger every day.
