The Big Bang Theory and the Higgs Boson

The Higgs boson is thought to be a physical particle in the Big Bang theory by England’s Peter Higgs and other astrophysicists. Progress is reported by The Times on April 8, 2008 by Mark Henderson, Science Editor. The tittle of the article is "At 78, scientist hopes for proof soon that he was right about the Universe." (Click) For other information, see (click), (click), (click), (click), and (click).

The Higg’s boson is today’s holy grail in the field of physics. It is the standard model of physics and is expected to give all physical things in the universe (stars, planets and people) their mass. The boson is thought to exist only at high energies in moments after the Big Bang explosion. Some bosons are sticky and make massive things while other bisons do not stick and remain as massless photons (or light particles). Higgs expect the boson to be found this year in an experiment in Illinois after the British government withdrew from a 17-mile underground atom smasher tunnel in Europe.

Since physicists have never been able to produce any living thing from physical particles, have never produced an artificial intelligent human from physical particles, and have never found any structureless physical particles, it is clear that the Big bang theory and boson particles are illusions of atheists who reject God.

In any nation under God, how can its government fund such atheistic theories? Apparently, the British government did detect this waste.

Wrong! The Higg's boson is not the standard model (that is an absurd statement), it is PART of the standard model.

"Since physicists have never been able to produce any living thing from physical particles, have never produced an artificial intelligent human from physical particles, and have never found any structureless physical particles, it is clear that the Big bang theory and boson particles are illusions of atheists who reject God."

    That is a non sequitur.

You must prove the non sequitur, not just say it

Peter Higgs told journalists in Geneva he doesn't like the term "God particle" because it might offend believers -- even though he is not one himself. Hi Tom Henneghan,

I didn't know whether the term 'God particle' would fit to Peter Higgs, although I knew that it will not fit to most physicists. Thanks for the link.

Das Higgs-Boson ist das einzige Teilchen des Standardmodells, das experimentell noch nicht nachgewiesen werden konnte (2007). Ursache ist, dass die Produktionsrate im Energiebereich bestehender Elementarteilchenbeschleuniger sehr gering ist.

Thanslation: "The Higgs-Boson is the only particle of the standard model which could not be proved experimentally yet (2007). Cause is that the production rate is very low in the energy area of existing elementary particle accelerators."

I am a scientist whi is offering a scientific proof of God (See "The First Scientific Proof of God.") This proof means that an infinite thing-in-itself exists and exists beyond all finite things. Since all physical things are divisible and finite, all physical things must originate from indivisible spiritual matter.

So, if God exists, the Higgs particle cannot exist.

"Non-sequitur" is defined (by Dictionary.com, if you need a reference) as "an inference or a conclusion that does not follow from the premises."

You have three premises. The first says that no living thing has been artificially created in the past. This is presently true, but you have implied that it is impossible merely because it has not happened in the past. By that logic, the Pharisees would have been justified in declaring Christ a heretic, since God had never been incarnated into a human. I would not agree with that and neither would you, so we should not close our minds to possibilities because they are not (currently) realities.

The second says that we have not created an artificial intelligent human. This is an extension (though a much more complex idea) of the first premise (creating artificial life), and thus I will move on.

The third premise contains a contradiction. You said we have never found any "structureless physical particles." This is a contradiction, since a physical particle must have structure. The word "physical" is defined as "of or pertaining to that which is material." A material must have a structure, or it would not be material, and thus not physical. So the third premise is moot.

But these have been tangents. You said a non-sequitur must be proved. None of your premises had ANYTHING to do with the Big Bang or boson particles. Thus, even if those three premises were legitimate and logical points, they cannot be used to disprove (or prove) either the Big Bang theory or boson particles. They are unrelated, and that is why it is a non-sequitor.

George, don't fight the Big Bang theory just because you're a Christian. There are plenty of smart, Christian scholars who accept the theory and recognize that it doesn't matter when God created the universe, but rather that he did. Don't lose track of the big picture for minor traditional beliefs. You risk looking like the Church did when it fought Galileo on the geocentrism vs. heliocentrism argument.

    Response to Hudson Stern,

Nice to hear from you again.

I am in the 6th year of telling people throughout the world that an infinine thing is the origin of all finite things. Today, I am extending this infinite thing by examining other things in the universe as Paul suggested at Rom. 1:20 For instance, I found that this infinite thing is also 'one' because 'many' things exist in the universe. Thus, I discovered that an infinite thing has no parts.

So, at the universal level, I find causes and effects but find no logic.

I also found that Jesus is not a Son of God. But,I found that Jesus worked with variables. So the science of statics and dynamiics began before Galileo.

But I dropped out of church when I was in high school. So, no religion is guiding my thoughts.

CERN is telling us that the neutrino is moving faster than the photon. More evidence that 'free particals' do not exist. The work of Einstein is failing and the Big Bang will fail also.
