18. Beliefs of the Western and Eastern Worlds
The first large group of people appeared after the Old Testament, New Testament, and Qur'an were produced. These people rejected Gnosticism (or science) saying that a person has only one life in the universe and will thus return to God by resurrection.
In the 15th century, a new group of people separated themselves from the first largest group. They became modern scientists and theologians and concluded that God and the universe coexist eternally and say that a person is reborn continually in the universe by God. I am a member of this group
Then, in the 20th century more people left the first largest group saying, (1) that they have only one life; (2) that God does not exist; and (3) that the universe was originated by a Big Bang thing. These people are atheists.
I believe that the people of the Eastern world are related to these three belief systems. I suggest that college and university students conduct this research. I also suggest that political scientists investigate the beliefs of Americans because the life of the people of the USA under God has become vague.
