775. Humans Must Open Their Minds Wider
The four different religions of Christianity in my last blog appeared after the ideas of Plato and the logic of Aristotle were developed. Before Plato and Aristotle died, Plato's thoughts had been defined as reasoning and Aristotle's thoughts had been defined as either/or logic.
When I studied the teachings of Jesus, I learned that Jesus did use Aristotle's either/or logic and Plato's ideas. An example is at Matt. 5:19. This verse teaches the least/great commandments. Jesus also used either/or logic in Chapter 24 of Matthew. At verse 31 Jesus says that the heaven of the universe has four winds, from one end to the other. At this verse, Jesus was teaching the universe as a continuum rather than the universe as a beginning and an ending. Thus, if Jesus had not been murdered, The Revelation verse by John 1:8 would have never been taught by Jesus.
The language problems of Christian religion was increased by Irenaeus and the Roman courts of Cicero. Irenaeus taught many wrong heresies. And the Cicero courts made poor opinions of either/or logic and reasoning. However, when the continuum of the universe appeared as an important subject of discussion in the 18th century, Thomas Aquinas said that the universe consists neither of infinitely many nor of a finite number of parts, but of no parts at all! This poor statement shows that Thomas Aquinas did not know God and the universe.
Not before the 20th century did the languages of nations and the languages of religions become a serious problem. The first solution of the languages were presented by Ernst Cassirer. His books are on the philosophy of symbolic forms. click) In Cassirer's work all words in any language will become symbols, which must be given meanings. Thus, in religions, the meanings of words in any scripture must be given by humans. This means that Words cannot come from God, as St. John says at John 1:1. The Trinitarian God is wrong and must be eliminated by Christians
Cassirer came to America in 1941. But, he died in 1945. Fortunately, in 1942, Susanne Langer, an American, began to follow the work of Cassirer with her first book on Philosophy in a New Key. (click) Langer died in 1985. I do not know any American or any religion that is working on the 'meanings of symbols.' Yet, physical science is lost today because it is deal only with senses and empirical data and facts. But, Langer shows that our sense-data are primarily symbols. When Langer announced these symbols in her 1942 book, the atheists and physical scientists began to attach her work.
In the 1980s, at the National Institute of Justice, I accepted Langer's work and began to develop the new meanings of the causes of crime. When I retired in the 1990s, I continued to work on symbols. My three books below show my progress. At this time, I might be the only person who is developing more perfect meanings of symbols. But, I see many troubles coming worldwide in all nations because most nations are not developing new meanings of symbols..
Note: The second reader of my second book below said, How is it that someone can place his name upon a Bible as being the author? I could not in all seriousness read such a thing.(click) Here is an example of how religions sell perfect scriptures of God's word to people who are not in science.
