How Can We Prevent Another Civil War in the USA?, III

In order to prevent another civil war in the USA, the U.S. Congress must obey the U.S. Constitution. Today, Congress is not obeying a major mandate of the Constitution. By not obeying this major mandate, Congress has been allowed to violate other constitutional mandates and disregard completely the Declaration of Independence. The major mandate that Congress does not obey contain the following words in the Preamble of the U.S. Constitution: "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, etc."

Note. The words 'the People' also appear in the first statement of the Declaration of Independence: "When in the Course of human Events, it becomes necessary for one People to ....." This is a sign that the Declaration and the Constitution form a single law. It is thus clear that the phrase, 'the People,' means that the USA is a Union. However, the members of a 'union of people' cannot be absolutely free, otherwise they cannot depend on each other. This meaning of Union has been the same in the self government of the Jews, in the teachings of Jesus Christ, and in the modern work of Kant and Hegel. So, Union is not a free-for-all.

In order to form a perfect Union, the Congress must change. Like scientists who use measuring standard, Congress must use a measuring standard that measures perfections of the Union. Since God is the only perfect thing, all measurements of the Union must be godly. Such godly measurements can be made only if the Union establishes godly goals and 'the People' measures the advancements.'
