How Can We Prevent Another Civil War in the USA?, V
The work of Kant dealt with the failure of of Plato and Aristotle to reconcile their differences. Plato argued that higher ideas can not be completed whereas Aristotle thought that logic can be completed. With the success of Euclidean geometry and the inability of the neoPlatonists to reconcile Plato's and Aristotle's differences, Aristotle logic won control of human life during the Middle Ages until the 14th century Renaissance and Plato's writings were found in an estate. By this time Aristotle's logic had been failing and the Western world again became confused. Then, when Kant appeared, he failed to reconcile the Western world rationalists (the Platonists) and empiricists (the Aristoteleans).
But the USA founders did not wait for Kant's major book on the 'Critique of Pure Reason' in 1778. They knew the forthcoming power of England's Royal Society and its empiricists. So when the founders prepared the Declaration of Independence and Constitution, their thoughts were focused on God in the first two paragraphs of the Declaration. The words in these two paragraphs are pointing directly at God, Plato, and a world that has no end. Thus, all proposals for a world theory without a God in the USA are violating the U.S. founding documents.
