888. More On 'Benjamin Franklin Was The First President of the USA'
Then, the second act occurred on June 21, 1775, when the Continental Congress committee submitted the draft Article of Confederation for United Colonies. The third act occurred on July 26, 1775, when Ben was elected postmaster general by Congress. This third act made Ben the real president of the USA. As president, Ben and two other persons visited Washington's camp at Cambridge to confer on maintenance and regulation of the Continental Army.
When Ben became 70 years old, on March 25, 1776 Ben took Samuel Chase, Charles Carroll of Carrollton, and Father John Carroll to Montreal to persuade French Canadians to join the revolving colonies against England. This final trip failed. On June 12, 1776 Ben led a committee that would prepare the Declaration of Independence. Thomas Jefferson wrote the draft version. Ben made many changes. On July 4, 1776 it was adopted
In January 14, 1784, Ben, John Adams, and John Jay sought and got peace from England in the court of France. After many other efforts, on October 14, 1788, Ben made the decision to end as president of Supreme Executive Council. This act terminated Ben's public career. This action made George Washington the real second president on September 16, 1789.
In order to express truths to every child, parents should teach that Benjamin Franklin was the real founder and the first president of the USA.
