How Can We Prevent Another Civil War in the USA?, VII
In order to prevent another civil war in the USA, the field of politics must be reformed so that our political parties can serve the 'one People' of the USA better. At this time two major parties, the Democrats and Republicans, are controlling the field of politics. Today, the Democratic party is said to behave based on liberalism (click) whereas the Republican party is said to behave based on conservatism (click).
I conclude that Russell Kirk separates these two parties best when he says that a liberal is a lover of ideologies whereas a conservative negates ideologies. Kirk's differences seem to be confirmed by the growth of government under liberalism whereas the conservative seeks a limited government. But other people say that the 'poor class' of people are found mostly in the Democratic party whereas the Republicans are mostly members of the 'rich class.'
Both parties stress the importance of human freedom. Thus, both parties should respect the Declaration of Independence. However,, I conclude that the Republican party, but not the Democratic party, removed the Declaration of Independence as a law in the USA. I make this statement because the conservatives follow Edmund Burke of England, who speaks of 'constitutional law' but not of 'independence law.' The U.S. laws of independence are found in the first two paragraphs of the Declaration of Independence.
Since liberalism and conservatism can't be distinguished precisely, their differences are very different and thus difficult to provide service to the 'one People' of the USA . Because of these differences, the field of politics is establishing conditions that can lead to another civil war.
When Jesus Christ spoke of the darkening of our sun in Matt. Ch.24, he was speaking about a fact that was coming. Don't the leaders on nations read the history of man's thoughts? Are the people of all nations to wait for the sun to darken before they start to think about this new human problem? Or should all of these people determine now when the sun will actually darken? If the liberals and conservatives do not think about the future, no human being should become a member of these rather ignorant political parties. Is JFK going to be our last futuristic leader in the U.S. government?
