Why a Scientist Becomes an Atheist

Over the last five years I have debated with many scientists on the subject of God  You will find some of these debates in the first four years of blogging in this website, in discussion groups formed by Amazon.com, and in The Reason Project formed by Sam Harris, a deist. These scientists, who were either atheists or deists, never convinced me that the universe only has mechanisms, which come from a physical particle called the 'God Particle.'

These scientists couldn't convince me because their minds are hiding in closed boxes that must be opened before they can understand God. This ugly box explains why our scientists are unable to find solutions to human problems such as cancer, autism, crime, economics, politics, and fusion energy.

This ugly box appeared in humans after logic was developed by Aristotle and Plato's mind rose above logic in his Parmenides Dialogue where new ideas will be found. After the death of Plato and Aristotle, Plato's ideas lifted the mind of Jesus Christ upwardly and Aristotle's logic lowered the life of man during the Middle Ages. But in the 15th century, Nicholas of Cusa ended the power of logic during the Middle Ages. (Also, see the thoughts of Blaise Pascal)

But modern science never ended the power of logic. So modern scientists could never see any ideas that appear above logic. Thus, atheistic scientists can see 'either/or' concepts but cannot see 'both/and' concepts.  For instance, when a modern scientist recognizes the logical concepts, permanence/change,  they can only see the 'change.'  Thus, when an atheistic scientist studies the universe logically, the atheistic scientist is able to see 'all changing things.'  But an atheistic scientist is not able to see 'all permanent things.'  Since God is a permanent thing, the atheistic scientist cannot see that all changing things come from God.

As long as modern scientists keep their minds in the ugly box above , they will remain confused.

Did you ever think that all permanence is consistent with change? In a system, everything may be in chaos but but the isolated system never changes. Change is an illusion.

    Response to A.J. Grady,

In today's blog, on the knowledge of man and the wisdom of God, I talk about my view of permanence and change.

Mr. Schollenberger, Sam Harris is not a deist. He is an atheist. He might not like the term because to him it seems rather unnecessary. He does practice meditation, however, that does not imply deism.

    Response to Anonymous,

If a person is a Jew and believes that the end of the universe is coming, that Jewish person can think deeper and learn that the Jewish God is inactive.

To me, atheism, deism/inactive God, and panentheism/active God can be distingushed precisely. Thus means that atheism must prove that two Gods (nactive and active)are false. Has Sam proven that deism and panentheism are false?

Since Sam and his partners never talk about panentheism, I assume that a Jewish person must be a diest and will also be an atheist. So I view some deism and some atheism in Sam.
